The Fastnet Rock Lighthouse, built in 1854, is a small islet in the Atlantic Ocean and the most southerly point of Ireland in Co. Cork. The Fastnet Lighthouse is known as the 'Teardrop of Ireland' because it was the last sight of Ireland for emigrants sailing to America.
