The Deutsches Eck (German Corner) where the Mosel River joins the Rhine River in Koblenz Germany, is a equestrian statue of the first German Emperor William I. The statue was erected in 1897 in appreciation for his role in the unification of Germany. The original statue was destroyed during World War II but rebuilt and erected in 1993 after the reunification of Germany.
