Minard Castle 1.JPG
Minard Castle stands on a hill overlooking the Irish Sea. It is on of only three of the mid-16th century Fitzgerald castles built on the Dingle Peninsula with substantial remains. In 1650 England's General Cromwell's army detonated charges in each of its corners, yet the castle still stood, the damage made the building uninhabitable.
